In modern industrial automation—particularly in testing, clamping, assembly, and pressing applications—there is a frequent need for two opposing mechanisms to move perfectly toward a central point, or away from it, in perfect synchronization. Traditionally, this required two separate linear modules, two motors, and two motion controllers, leading to higher complexity, greater cost, and difficulty ensuring absolute synchronization.
At TOCO, we engineered a single-module solution that simplifies and perfects this symmetrical movement: The Left- and Right-Handed Screw Linear Module.
TOCO’s Innovation: Mechanical Synchronization
Our specialized linear module is designed around an ingenious core mechanism:
Dual-Screw Setup: The slide carriage incorporates both a left-hand lead screw and a right-hand lead screw driven by a single central input.
Perfect Symmetry: When the central input rotates (powered by a single motor), the two screws simultaneously drive the opposing carriages in opposite directions. The result is precise, simultaneous relative motion—one side retracts while the other extends, or vice versa.
